Overview — WordPress Migration

WordPress Website Migration is a technical website service for moving an existing WordPress website from one hosting provider to another or from one domain to another. The service includes transferring website files and database, creating a backup before migration, updating main URLs, and performing basic post-migration checks to confirm that key pages and links are working on the new environment. It is suitable for website owners who are changing hosting, updating their domain, or moving their WordPress site to a new server without redesigning or rebuilding the website.

  • Businesses changing their WordPress domain name.

  • Small companies that need a careful WordPress transfer process.

  • WordPress website owners who want basic checks after migration.

  • WooCommerce store owners who need migration with planned timing.

Workflow

  1. The client places the order and provides old hosting access, new hosting access, WordPress access, and domain information.

  3. A backup is created before starting the migration.

  4. Website files are copied from the old environment.

  5. The WordPress database is exported from the old environment.

  6. Files and database are transferred to the new hosting or domain environment.

  7. WordPress configuration is updated for the new environment.

  8. Main URLs and internal links are updated where required.

  9. DNS or domain-related guidance is provided when needed.

  10. Basic checks are performed on key pages, links, and login access.
